The String of Pearls Galaxy, also known as NGC 7714, is a remarkable spiral galaxy located approximately 100 million light-years away in the constellation Pisces. It earned its nickname due to the appearance of bright, pearl-like knots of stars aligned along its outer ring, resembling a celestial string of pearls.
Captured using an ASA800 Richey Chrétien telescope, paired with a ZWO ASI6200MM, the target has 2.5 hours of exposure, with added Hydrogen Alpha to make the intergalactic nebulae pop. This image was created using broadband filters, which creates an extremely realistic colour palette, very similar to what your eye would see, if it was bright enough
