NGC 1365, also known as the Great Barred Spiral Galaxy, is one of the most striking spiral galaxies in the night sky. Located approximately 56 million light-years away in the constellation Fornax, it is a prime example of a barred spiral galaxy, with its distinctive central bar structure and sweeping spiral arms.
Captured using an ASA800 Richey Chrétien telescope, paired with a ZWO ASI6200MM, the target has 3 hours of exposure, as well as extra Hydrogen Alpha to make the nebulae pop. Using broadband filters allowed for extremely accurate representation of the amazing colours within the nebula.
